The session for NYC will be on Thursday May 24th from 7-9:30PM.
It will be held in the first floor auditorium of the Red Cross
headquarters located at 150 Amsterdam Avenue (cross 66th Street).
The NYC OEM staff meteorologist, Sean Nolan, will be conducting
the session possibly with Gary Conte and Mike Wylie of the National
Weather Service.  Anyone who did not attend in 2000 are strongly
encouraged to attend.  It is recommended to take a refresher
course every other year to keep current with techniques and
procedures in spotting and reporting weather data.

Remember, this course is open to all ARES members, all ham radio
operators and the general public.  Talk it up to everyone you know.
Have them email me to register for the course.  There is no cost
to them and there will be plenty of handouts (books, info sheets,
brochures, etc).
